Chromium (google chrome) for linux

It has been a while since I had a look at googles browser, Chrome. There is no linux port yet, not of chrome anyway, but the opensource project chromium (the codebase for chrome) has a buildbot that spits a couple of builds out every day. It is still in a very early (alpha) stage. But the browsing part works… And it is fast! Bookmarks, options, settings is not working yet but take it for a spin and decide for yourself 🙂

The screenshot is Chromium build 16178 on KDE 4.2.2, Debian unstable.

Amazing!

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry, Mogens Camre an MEP for the Danish People’s Party gave an interview with the French radio station, RFI. He states that easterneuropean politicians shouldn’t be aloved influence because their societies are “backwards and old fashioned”… He seems to have a knack for immensely stupid statements, perhaps someone should consider his influence?

From rfi.fr:

“When I look at the voting rules, I see that countries like Romania and Bulgaria have many more votes than Denmark and Sweden and Finland, and I think – honestly speaking – that we are more clever than they are,” Camre, who is  a member of Denmark’s ruling coalition People’s Party, said.

If he had been resembling, just slightly, a normal person I would have been ashamed to be from the same nation as him, but this is laughable…

My morningread of pol.dk sparked this little…rant…
