I think this post is a bit overdue.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed a new folder in my home folder. It spooked me a bit to begin with (debian-user list). But I soon discovered that the folder only appeared when I was using my internet bank solution (A BEC webbanking solution). I gave their support a call and surely, it was a part of something they called PC-DNA. They agreed with me in that it probably wasn’t the nicest bit of code they had ever produced and told me that they might do it differently in the next update.
So, if you suffer from this, give your bank a call, who knows, if enough of us makes a fuss, they might change it.
Meat
“They’re made out of meat.”
“Meat?”
“Meat. They’re made out of meat.”
“Meat?”
“There’s no doubt about it. We picked up several from different parts of the planet, took them aboard our recon vessels, and probed them all the way through. They’re completely meat.”
From Terry Bissons page enjoy the rest there 😉
GLX, compiz and stuff
I have been playing around with compiz and compiz-fuson for a while now. And I just found xvidcap.
xvidcap enables you to grab a movie of your desktop and save it as (among other things) mpeg, avi and swf…
This is my first example:
mpeg-file (22 MB)
Tomatoes!
Me likes!
The first one.
All the way
The sky is the limit… Actually, the ceiling, take a look 😉
Bump!
Nothing ever goes bump in Dexter’s night.
oh. almost forgot!
My webaccess should be ok again, no more cybercity, back on webspeed…
adsl…
I’m online at cybercitys mercy these days.
It seems my phonecables are in such a state that any type of interconnection is impossible 🙁
So, I have to use my cableTV providers solution. They only provide 512 kbit upload, so I’m pissed…
Perhaps that will change in time. Fingers crossed!
FSF and ogg
Geeks love this stuf, TLAs that is… But thats not my point today.
This is my point today:
I enjoyed the little movie about trusted computing…
